The two facilities are already 40% pre-booked showing the robust demand for agile workspaces. Smartworks leases new facilities in Pune and Chennai to meet rising demand for agile workspaces; consolidates leadership

Guindy in Chennai and Baner in Pune to house approx. 5,000 people in total

Chennai, India, December 20, 2018: Smartworks, India’s leading provider of agile workspaces, today announced the addition of two new centres in Chennai and Pune to further consolidate its leadership in these two markets. With this, Smartworks continues its market leadership in both Chennai and Pune where it already has two and three centres respectively. The centres will be operational by early next year and have a total seating capacity of 5000+ people. The Chennai facility, situated in Guindy is spread across 72,000 sq.ft., with a seating capacity of 1,500 seats and is the third facility in Chennai and second in Guindy. The Pune facility is situated in Baner, has 2,800 seats spread across 1,40,000 sq.ft. and is the fourth facility in the city, and second in Baner.

Chennai and Pune have witnessed a surge in demand and Smartworks has capitalized on this burgeoning demand by firmly cementing its place as a market leader. Bengaluru, December 7th, 2018: Smartworks, India’s largest agile workspaces player today launched its flagship facility in Bengaluru. Spread over 3 lakh sq. ft., with 6,000 seats, this is the firm’s largest centre located in Global Technology Park (GTP), Bellandur. One of the key highlights of the flagship centre is the introduction of ‘Smart Mitri’, the world’s first female AI robot. Smartworks leases out the prestigious Fleethouse as their 2nd centre in Mumbai; increases India footprint to 1.5 million sq. ft.

Mumbai, November 23: India’s leading provider of flexible workspaces, Smartworks, today leased a new 82,000 sq. ft. facility on Andheri Kurla Road in the financial capital of India, Mumbai. The workspace consists of 2000 and above and has been pre-booked by 40%. With this expansion, the Smartworks’ total footprint in India has reached 1.5 million sq. ft.

The facility is scheduled to be operational from January, 2019 and is garnering heightened enterprise interest.

Some of the clients working out of the new Mumbai facility include Marsh Insurance, NEC. Smartworks already has top corporate and few fortune 50 companies as its clients Tata Communications, Microsoft, Arcelor Mittal, Amazon, Daikin, Lenovo, Bacardi, and OLX among others.

Smartworks celebrates Daan Utsav, encourages the spirit of giving

Daan Utsav (earlier called the Joy of Giving Week) is India’s ‘festival of giving’. Launched in 2009, the festival is celebrated every year – commencing on Gandhi Jayanti – from October 2 to 8. It brings together citizens from all walks of life to celebrate ‘giving’ in its truest sense. In 2016, millions of people participated in more than 1,500 events across 200 cities in India by raising several tens of crores of money and material donations and by giving countless volunteer hours thereby making a substantial change in the lives of the not so privileged.

India’s largest co-working space, Smartworks opens its second center in Chennai

Chennai, August 30, 2018: Smartworks, India’s largest provider of managed workspaces, opens its second facility in the city of Chennai on Old Mahabalipuram Road (OMR), bringing its total footprint in India to over 1.2 million sq. ft. The facility at OMR, Chennai is spread across 85,180 sq. ft. with a seating capacity of 1500 seats. With this launch, Smartworks is taking its total number of centers in India to 15 across nine cities namely, Delhi, Gurugram, Noida, Kolkata, Bangalore, Mumbai, Pune, Hyderabad and Chennai. 

 
Launched three months ago, Smartworks first center in Chennai at Guindy was fully occupied by 10+ companies within two months on the back of strong pre-booking, owing to the increasing demand for shared workspaces in the city. ‘Made in India’ humanoid Mitra hosts Smartworks’ Hyderabad centre launch

Hyderabad, June 21st , 2018: India’s largest provider of tailor-made, flexible workspace, Smartworks, has unveiled its new facility in Hyderabad’s Hitech City, taking its total footprint in India over 1 million sq. ft. Smartworks’ newest centre is spread across 86,000 sq. ft., and has a seating capacity of 1700 seats. The center has deployed the much talked about ‘Made in India’ human robot ‘Mitra’ at its facility. The humanoid will streamline the visitor management system, allowing the workspace to do away with paperwork and enforce a more environment friendly approach. The installation of Mitra is first of its kind in the shared office industry.

According to a [1] JLL report, Hyderabad, Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Chennai, Bengaluru and Pune are the top six cities in terms of the demand for shared workspaces in India. A demand for at least five million seats in these six cities alone is expected while 8.5 million seats of the projected demand will come from tier 2 and tier 3 cities. About half a million each of the total addressable market demand for coworking spaces would be found in the three main southern cities of Bangalore, Chennai and Hyderabad, along with Pune, the report states.
